Is Their Any Other Way To Gain Seed Rank? Yes, there are multiple other ways of gaining Seed rank, such as completing objectives faster then usual. For example, if you wish to take the level 10 test then you must be level 10 or higher. Also, you can only take a test when your level is that of the rank of test.
You can take the test at any time, well playing as the main character of the game, Squall Leonheart, well playing as other characters, such as Laguna Loire or other party members you will not be able to access or take the tests. Right after your inauguration into Seed, you can officially take the tests. When Can I take The Tests? After you become a member of Seed, which is after the Dollet Assault. Then just click X and it will ask you if you want to take the test, say "Yes", it will then ask to begin the level of test in which you are on, say "Yes" again, and like that you are taking a test to further your rank. A sub-menu will pop up, and then go to the option called "TEST"(in capitals). Then you simply scroll down to the "Tutorial" option and press the X button. How Do I Access The Tests? That is rather simple, you simply press the O(circle) button to access the menu. The easiest way to get your Seed rank as high as possible is to take the Seed Tests. You earn a base pay of about 5000, I think, however the higher your Seed Rank the more Gil you get. However, VIII takes a different approach and instead you earn Gil periodically through out the game, it's like your payment for being a Seed.
